The 2023 Celebrating Forces Families awards took place at the Victory Services Club on April 28th, and it was a night to remember.

The Celebrating Forces Families awards were sponsored by various companies, from headline sponsor Barclays to BFBS, HSBC, and M&S. These companies recognise the value of supporting military families and were proud to be associated with the event.

The awards ceremony recognised ten outstanding organisations and individuals: Amazon, The Ripple Pond, and the Marama Alliance UK were among the winners. These organisations have made significant contributions to the lives of military families, whether through employment opportunities, support for those affected by grief, or programmes for military spouses.

The Children of Armed Forces Children Choir provided musical entertainment for the evening, showcasing their incredible talent and adding a touch of magic to the proceedings. The choir is made up of children from military families, and their performance was a testament to the resilience and strength of these families, receiving a standing ovation.

The awards ceremony was hosted by Anthony Cotton, who added humour and warmth to the proceedings, making it a delightful evening for all involved. His presence added to the event’s celebratory atmosphere, and he was a fantastic host.

The event was attended by senior officers from the MOD, who were on hand to show their support for military families and honour the award winners’ work. Their presence highlights the importance of supporting military families and the impact organisations like Milspo CIC can have.

Jess Sands, the founder of Milspo CIC, attended as part of the MOD’s Partner Employment Working Group (PEWG), which organised the event and celebrated the hard work and dedication of organisations supporting military families.

Overall, the 2023 Celebrating Forces Families awards were a huge success, thanks in no small part to the hard work and dedication of the PEWG. The event showcased the incredible work being done to support military families and highlighted the resilience and strength of these families in the face of adversity. Congratulations to all the award winners, and here’s to many more years of supporting military families.
